Elena Manceva is an Engineer that believes people should have dreams. I aim for the moon, work hard, fail, succeed, love, get hurt, travel, sail in the unknown! But I know that 20 or 50 years from now, when I will look back, I will not regret anything I have done!
I will write in this blog about technology, life, my personal opinions, travelling, accomplishments, good days, bad days, ideas, dreams…everything! So stay tuned! It’s gonna be a hell of a ride! My friend Jure is an editor-photographer-blogger-SmartTechGuy who once told me that web sites (including blogs) should be about content, clean and clear, so I will do my best to implement that advice in my blog.
I don’t like titles very much, but since this is the ABOUT tab, I do need to write something about my personal background. I am a Dipl.El.Ing (Electrical Engineer) in Computer Science, Information Technology and Automation, and I am pursuing a Master in Computer Networks and E-Technologies. I love to travel, and as a metropolitan person who lives in Macedonia, I try to use every free second to explore the rest of the world. I like finding solutions for problems, and my entrepreneurship idea is loyal to my personality and career choice. Inspired by Mark Weiser, I dream about creating technology that will weave itself into the fabric of everyday life, until it is indistinguishable from it. For the past 6 years I have been involved in a student organization called EESTEC (www.eestec.net) which probably will have at least a dozen of blog posts here! Now I am part of the EESTEC Alumni (old graduated people) network, but I still have EESTEC spirit. I have attended uncountably many soft-skills trainings, and I sincerely hope that I use in everyday life what I have learned throughout those trainings.
In my free time I read, listen to music, chat, enjoy long strolls in the nature, go skiing, hiking, skating and roller-skating.
Feel free to write to me, and comment my posts, I want to improve, and I take critics very seriously. I try to make giant steps evolving myself, in order to create a little step for humankind – I want to make a difference globally, by acting locally.
The photo in the header of this blog is from my very good friend PhD Tamas Haidegger. His favourite hobby besides cooking, is photography, and I love all his photos. My desktop backgrounds are reserved for his photos only, and for this blog’s header photo, I have green light.
PS: My favourite Tamas’ photo, taken in Zurich, years ago, when we first met. I love everything about it, even the imperfections that he claims this photo has.
